Fundamentals of securitisation

Duration3 days (21 hours)
LevelIntermediate
FormatIn person, Remote, Blended

The programme explains how a securitisation is assembled, who does what and why the structure takes the shape it does.

Participants compare true sale and synthetic arrangements, examine the legal environment that makes a transfer effective, and work through tranching, credit enhancement and the cash flow waterfall. The role of rating agencies and the main families of asset backed instruments are reviewed with attention to how each behaves under stress.

The closing sequence covers more recent developments, including insurance risk transfer, short term asset backed funding and tokenised structures. Participants leave able to read a transaction summary and identify where the risk actually sits.

Who it is for

Finance, treasury and risk professionals encountering securitisation structures.
